Papers and records pertaining to the Town of New Windsor include papers of the Beach family, 1820-1860, consisting of agreements, inventories, accounts, guardianship papers, letters about property and money matters, and a map of property owned by Joseph Beach; letters to Robert Burnet concerning legal matters and land transactions, 1800-1831; minutes from the Town meeting of 1796; military rolls for the Town, 1851-1852; wills and estate papers of Town residents, 1786-1835; a promotional booklet for a summer colony at Tomahawk Lake, 1941; and miscellaneous deeds, agreements, mortgages, bills of sale, warrants, legal notices, and letters, 1752-1863. Collection also includes a small number of leases, mortgages, deeds, tax lists, and broadsides pertaining to the Town of Fishkill (Dutchess County), 1816-1873.
